قال مدير مستشفى الشفاء في مدينة غزة محمد أبو سلمية إن 5 فلسطينيين استشهدوا في هجوم إسرائيلي على مدرسة تؤوي نازحين في حي التفاح شرق مدينة غزة.

وأفاد الدفاع المدني الفلسطيني في بيان له أن معظم الشهداء من الأطفال، بالإضافة إلى العديد من الجرحى الذين نقلوا إلى المستشفيات لتلقي العلاج.

وقال الدفاع المدني إن أفراده لم يتمكنوا من انتشال الجثث إلا بعد التنسيق مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية (أوتشا).

وتشير بيانات وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية إلى أن عدد الشهداء ارتفع إلى 400 فلسطيني منذ بدء وقف إطلاق النار في تشرين الأول الماضي.
