كشف خبير اقتصادي أردني لـ "الرأي" أن كأس بطولة كأس العرب مصنوع من الذهب عيار 18، بوزن يبلغ نحو 2.8 كيلوغرام، ما يقدّر قيمته بحوالي 217 ألف دينار أردني، أي ما يعادل 306 آلاف دولار أميركي، وذلك استنادا إلى سعر غرام الذهب محلياً في الأردن البالغ 77.5 دينار.

ويتميز الكأس بتصميمه الفاخر المصنوع بالكامل من الذهب، ليقترب في وزنه وقيمته من كأس العالم الذي يزن 3.4 كيلوغرام، في دلالة على رمزيته الكبيرة.

ويتوج المجسم بكرة قدم ذهبية، بينما تزين جسده خارطة الوطن العربي، إضافةً إلى نقش كلمة "موطني" في أسفله، المستوحاة من قصيدة الشاعر الفلسطيني إبراهيم طوقان، في لمسة تجمع بين الرياضة والهوية الثقافية.
