أعربت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين عن أصدق التعازي والمواساة لحكومة وشعب جمهورية مصر العربية الشقيقة بضحايا غرق قارب هجرة غير شرعية بالقرب من ميناء جزيرة كريت اليونانية، ما أسفر عن وقوع عدد من الضحايا والمفقودين.

‏وأكّد الناطق الرسمي باسم الوزارة السفير فؤاد المجالي تعاطف المملكة وتضامنها الكامل مع حكومة وشعب جمهورية مصر العربية الشقيقة في هذا الحادث الأليم، مُعرِبًا عن أصدق التعازي لأُسَر الضحايا، ومتمنيًا النجاة للمفقودين.

كما أعرب المجالي عن أصدق التعازي والمواساة لأُسَر الضحايا من الجنسيات الأخرى الذين كانوا على متن القارب.
