اعتمدت الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، الليلة الماضية، قرارا يؤكد حق الشعب الفلسطيني في تقرير مصيره.

وأيد القرار 164 دولة وعارضته 8 دول هي: إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة وميكرونيسيا والأرجنتين وباراغواي وباباوا غينيا الجديدة وبالاو وناورو، فيما صوتت بالامتناع عليه 9 دول: الإكوادور وتوغو وتونغا وبنما وفيجي والكاميرون وجزر مارشال وصاموا وجنوب السودان.

وأكدت الجمعية بموجب نص القرار حق الشعب الفلسطيني في تقرير مصيره، بما في ذلك الحق في دولته الفلسطينية المستقلة، وحثت جميع الدول والهيئات والمنظمات المتخصصة التابعة للأمم المتحدة على مواصلة دعم الشعب الفلسطيني ومساعدته في تحقيق حقه في تقرير المصير في أقرب وقت ممكن.
