ارتفعت حصيلة إطلاق النار خلال احتفال بعيد يهودي على شاطئ بونداي في أستراليا إلى 16 قتيلا و40 مصابا على الأقل، وفق ما أعلنت الشرطة في وقت مبكر من صباح الاثنين بالتوقيت المحلي.

وأكدت شرطة ولاية نيو ساوث ويلز عبر منصة إكس أن "16 شخصا لقوا حتفهم وما زال 40 شخصا يتلقون العلاج في المستشفى بعد حادث إطلاق النار الذي وقع أمس في بونداي".

لم يحدد بيان الشرطة ما إذا كانت الحصيلة تشمل أحد مطلقَي النار الذي قضى في الهجوم.
