قالت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) اليوم الجمعة، إنها تمتلك إمدادات للمأوى لما يصل إلى 1.3 مليون شخص خارج غزة، لكن الاحتلال يمنع إدخال تلك المساعدات إلى غزة، مما يعيق الجهود الإنسانية.

وأكد مكتب الشؤون الإنسانية بالأمم المتحدة (الأوتشا)، أن الأمطار الغزيرة استمرت طوال الليل في جميع أنحاء القطاع، مما أدى إلى فيضان المزيد من الخيام وانهيار المباني المتضررة في جباليا ومدينة غزة، وقد أُبلغ عن وقوع عدة ضحايا، بينهم أطفال.

وفي هذا السياق، أكد مكتب الاوتشاء على ضرورة رفع القيود المفروضة على دخول المساعدات، بما في ذلك الحظر المفروض على الأونروا ومنع عمل المنظمات غير الحكومية.
