أجرى نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي اتصالًا هاتفيًّا مع وزير الخارجية والتجارة الخارجية في جمهورية باربادوس كيري سيموندز.

وتابع الصفدي وسيموندز خلال الاتصال نتائج زيارة جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني إلى جمهورية باربادوس الشهر الماضي، واتفقا على إقامة علاقات دبلوماسية بين البلدين، وعقد مشاورات سياسية بين وزارتَي الخارجية في الأردن وباربادوس، ووضع خطوات عملية لبناء آفاق تعاون في عديد قطاعات حيوية تشكّل الصحة والمياه والطاقة والسياحة.

وبحث الوزيران الأوضاع الإقليمية والتطورات في قطاع غزة، وثمّن الصفدي اعتراف جمهورية باربادوس بالدولة الفلسطينية وموقفها الداعم لحل الدولتين.
