أطلقت الصين اليوم الثلاثاء، قمرا اصطناعيا جديدا للاستشعار عن بعد، سيستخدم بشكل رئيسي في المسوحات الوطنية للأراضي والتخطيط العمراني وتصميم شبكات الطرق وتقدير غلة المحاصيل والإدارة البيئية والوقاية من الكوارث والتخفيف من آثارها.

وبحسب وكالة "شينخوا" الصينية، انطلق القمر الاصطناعي، من مركز جيوتشيوان لإطلاق الأقمار الاصطناعية شمال غربي الصين، ودخل مداره المحدد بنجاح.

ويعد هذا الإطلاق المهمة رقم 614 لسلسلة الصواريخ الحاملة من طراز "لونغ مارش".
