قالت وزارة الخارجية الأميركية، إن المسؤولين الأمريكيين والأوكرانيين سيواصلون السبت المناقشات حول خطة لإنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا، وذلك في نهاية اليوم الثاني من الاجتماعات في فلوريدا التي شارك فيها المبعوث الأميركي الخاص ستيف ويتكوف وكبير المفاوضين الأوكرانيين رستم أوميروف.

وقالت الوزارة في بيان "اتفق الطرفان على أن التقدم الحقيقي نحو أي اتفاق يعتمد على استعداد روسيا لإظهار التزام جاد بالسلام طويل الأمد، بما في ذلك خطوات نحو خفض التصعيد ووقف أعمال القتل".

وأضاف البيان أن الطرفين "اتفقا أيضا على إطار الترتيبات الأمنية وناقشا قدرات الردع اللازمة للحفاظ على سلام دائم".
