قال رئيس الوزراء الهندي ناريندرا مودي للرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين إن بلاده تؤيد السلام وإن على العالم أن يعود إليه، في إشارة إلى الصراع الدائر في أوكرانيا.

ويجري بوتين أول زيارة إلى الهند منذ أربع سنوات وذلك في وقت تجري فيه نيودلهي محادثات مع الولايات المتحدة للتوصل إلى اتفاق تجاري لخفض الرسوم الجمركية العقابية التي فرضها الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب على بضائعها بسبب مشتريات الهند من النفط الروسي.

وعبر بوتين عن امتنانه لرئيس الوزراء الهندي للاهتمام الذي توليه نيودلهي لجهود السلام في أوكرانيا.

وقال إن روسيا والهند تربطهما علاقات في المجال العسكري وفي مجالي الفضاء والذكاء الاصطناعي ضمن أمور أخرى.
