أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر الأربعاء، على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولتي تهريب كميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة محملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع.

وجرى التعامل معها وإسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية بعد رصدها في موقعين مختلفين من قبل قوات حرس الحدود بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
