توّج المنتخب الوطني للسيدات لكرة القدم بلقب بطولة غرب آسيا، بنسختها التاسعة، بعد فوزه على نظيره الفلسطيني بنتيجة 3-1، في المباراة النهائية التي جمعتهما مساء اليوم الثلاثاء على ملعب عبدالله الفيصل بمدينة جدة السعودية.

وافتتحت اللاعبة سيلين عكروش التسجيل للمنتخب بالدقيقة 13، وأضافت قائدة المنتخب آية المجالي الهدف الثاشني بالدقيقة 31 من ركلة جزاء، وعززت فرح أبو تايه تقدم المنتخب بالهدف الثالث بالدقيقة 63، فيما سجل هدف المنتخب الفلسطيني الوحيد لاعبته نور يوسف بالدقيقة 85.

ويعد المنتخب الوطني الأكثر حصداً لبطولة غرب آسيا، بعد أن توّج بها في 7 مرات من أصل 9 نسخ.

ونال المنتخب العراقي المركز الثالث بعد فوزه على المنتخب السعودي بفارق ركلات الترجيح 4-2 بعد التعادل في الوقت الأصلي 2-2.
