انخفض الذهب في المعاملات الآسيوية المبكرة الثلاثاء بعد أن لامس أعلى مستوى له في ستة أسابيع في الجلسة السابقة وسط عمليات جني أرباح من جانب المستثمرين الذين يترقبون أيضا تصريحات رئيس مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأميركي) وبيانات اقتصادية مهمة قد تُشير إلى خفض أسعار الفائدة.

وتراجع الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 0.2% إلى 4222.93 دولارا للأوقية (الأونصة) بحلول الساعة 00:24 بتوقيت غرينتش، بعد أن سجل الاثنين أعلى مستوى له منذ 21 تشرين الأول.

وانخفضت العقود الأميركية الآجلة للذهب تسليم كانون الأول 0.4% إلى 4256.30 دولارا.
