ارتفعت حصيلة قتلى الفيضانات وانزلاقات التربة التي شهدتها جزيرة سومطرة في إندونيسيا إلى 631 شخصا فيما نزح مليون شخص، وفقا لإحصاء أصدرته الوكالة الوطنية لإدارة الكوارث الثلاثاء.

وأضافت الوكالة أن 472 شخصا ما زالوا مفقودين فيما أصيب 2600 آخرون في ثلاث محافظات في الجزيرة الواقعة غربي الأرخبيل.

وذكرت الوكالة أن أكثر من 3,3 ملايين شخص تأثروا بالفيضانات وتم إجلاء مليون شخص ونقلوا إلى ملاجئ موقتة.

وأدت الفيضانات وانزلاقات التربة التي ضربت إندونيسيا وتايلاند وماليزيا وسريلانكا خلال الأسبوع الماضي إلى مقتل حوالي 1200 شخص وفقدان المئات.
