أعلنت إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترامب الخميس أنها ستراجع كل الإقامات الدائمة المعروفة باسم "غرين كارد" لأشخاص من أكثر من 12 دولة، عقب لإطلاق النار على أفراد من الحرس الوطني في واشنطن.

وكتب جوزيف إدلو، مدير خدمات الجمارك والهجرة، على منصة أكس "وجهت بإعادة فحص شاملة ودقيقة لكل حالات الإقامة الدائمة (غرين كارد) لكل أجنبي من كل دولة مثيرة للقلق". وكان الرئيس دونالد ترامب قد صنف سابقا 19 دولة على أنها "مثيرة للقلق"، بينها أفغانستان التي ينتمي إليها المشتبه به بإطلاق النار الأربعاء.
