الإمارات تنسحب من سباق استضافة كأس آسيا 2031

سحبت الإمارات الخميس، ملف ترشحها لاستضافة نهائيات كأس آسيا 2031 لكرة القدم، وفقا لما أعلن الاتحاد المحلي للعبة في بيان مقتضب دون ذكر الأسباب.

وكانت الإمارات نظمت نسختي 1996 و2019 من البطولة.

وكان الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم أعلن في نيسان عن تقديم 7 ملفات لطلب الاستضافة، وهي إضافة إلى الإمارات، أستراليا والهند واندونيسيا وكوريا الجنوبية والكويت وعرض مشترك من قرغيزستان وطاجيكستان وأوزبكستان.

واقترح الشيخ سلمان بن إبراهيم آل خليفة رئيس الاتحاد القاري إجراء التصويت على استضافة نسختي كأس آسيا 2031 و2035 في الوقت نفسه بعد ابداء 7 ملفات (رقم قياسي) الرغبة في استضافة نسخة 2031.

وتُنظم كأس آسيا التي تضم 24 منتخبا كل 4 أعوام وستقام البطولة المقبلة بالسعودية في 2027.

واستضافت قطر النسخة الأخيرة من البطولة في أوائل عام 2024، بعد انسحاب الصين من تنظيمها.
