قال مدير دائرة الإحصاءات العامة، حيدر فريحات، إن التعداد السكاني سينطلق مطلع العام المقبل، مضيفا أنه تم تخصيص مبلغ 24 مليون دينار لتنفيذه.

وبين فريحات خلال جلسات مناقشة موازنة الإحصاءات العامة أثناء اجتماع اللجنة المالية النيابية، أن مدة الزيارات ستمتد من كانون الثاني إلى أيار من العام المقبل، عبر مرحلتين الأولى هي الحصر والزيارات إلى المنازل والبلوكات.

وسيتبعها المرحلة الثانية للعد والإحصاء التي خصص لها 7 ملايين دينار.

وبين فريحات أنه لم يحدد بعد إذا كان العد سينفذ من قبل المعلمين أو طلبة الجامعات.
