أعلن صندوق النقد الدولي الأربعاء التوصل إلى اتفاق مع الحكومة الأوكرانية على برنامج جديد للمساعدات بقيمة 8,2 مليارات دولار على مدى أربع سنوات "لدعم سلسلة من الإصلاحات الاقتصادية الكليّة والهيكلية" الهادفة لتحقيق الاستقرار في اقتصاد البلاد.

ويحل الاتفاق الجديد الذي ما يزال يتطلب الحصول على موافقة المجلس التنفيذي للصندوق مكان برنامج المساعدات السابق الذي تجاوزت قيمته 15 مليار دولار بقليل وأُقر في آذار/مارس 2023 في إطار حزمة مساعدات دولية أكبر بلغ قدرها 122 مليار دولار.
