حصل ديكان رومي محظوظان هذا العام على "يانصيب البيت الأبيض"، بحصولهما على العفو الرئاسي والحرية الدائمة بعيداً عن مائدة عيد الشكر.

وتم اختيار اسمي الديكين، "غوبل" و"وادل"، من قِبل الجمهور عبر التصويت الإلكتروني، ومنحهما الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب وزوجته ميلانيا ترامب العفو، يوم الثلاثاء، ضمن التقليد السنوي الذي يبعد ديكي عيد الشكر عن أن يصبحا جزءاً من وجبة العيد.

وخلال مراسم الحفل، أشار ترامب إلى فرحة "غوبل" قائلاً: "انظروا إلى مدى سعادته"، أما "وادل" فلم يكن حاضراً في الحفل الرسمي، فقال ترامب مازحاً: "وادل غائب عن الأنظار، لكن لا بأس، يمكننا أن نتظاهر بأنه هنا".
