قالت وكالة الأمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية (أونكتاد) إن عملية إعادة إعمار قطاع غزة ستكلف أكثر من 70 مليار دولار وقد يستغرق عدة عقود.

وأشارت الوكالة الأممية في تقرير جديد نشر اليوم الثلاثاء، الى أن العدوان الاسرائيلي المتواصل والقيود المفروضة على القطاع قوّضا مختلف مقومات الحياة الأساسية من الغذاء والمأوى والخدمات الصحية، ما دفع غزة إلى "هاوية كارثية من صنع الإنسان".

وأضافت، إن الحرب التي شنها الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة تسببت بـ "انهيار غير مسبوق في الاقتصاد الفلسطيني" خاصة اقتصاد غزة الذي انكمش بنسبة 87 بالمئة حيث بلغ نصيب الفرد من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي 161 دولاراً فقط، وهو أدنى معدل في العالم.

وشددت على أن "التدمير المستمر والممنهج يُلقي بظلال من الشك على قدرة غزة على إعادة بناء نفسها كمساحة ومجتمع صالحين للعيش".
