قال الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ميرسك للنقل البحري فينسنت كليرك، إنه بالنظر إلى التقدم الكبير في غزة وباب المندب ستتخذ الشركة خطوات لاستئناف الملاحة عبر قناة السويس.

وأضاف "نشعر بالارتياح إزاء عملية السلام في غزة وإرساء حرية الملاحة في مضيق باب المندب".

وبين أن قناة السويس هي الممر المفضل للشركة وعملائها لربط الأسواق.

وتابع "الشركة ستمضي لإعادة الإبحار عبر البحر الأحمر بمجرد أن تسمح الظروف بذلك مع إعطاء الأولوية لسلامة الأطقم.
