أعلنت قوات الدعم السريع السودانية الاثنين هدنة إنسانية من طرف واحد تستمر ثلاثة أشهر، غداة إعلان قائد الجيش السوداني عبد الفتاح البرهان رفضه مقترحا دوليا بالهدنة قدمته الرباعية الدولية ولم يتم إعلان تفاصيله.

وقال قائد قوات الدعم السريع محمد حمدان دقلو في كلمة مسجلة "انطلاقا من مسؤوليتنا الوطنية واستجابة للجهود الدولية المبذولة وعلى رأسها مبادرة الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب ومساعي دول الرباعية... نعلن هدنة إنسانية تشمل وقف الأعمال العدائية لمدة ثلاثة أشهر" والموافقة على تشكيل آلية مراقبة دولية.

وطوال العامين الماضيين، قام طرفا الحرب في السودان بخرق كل اتفاقات الهدنة مما أدى إلى فشل جهود التفاوض.
