وصف البيت الأبيض الأحد المحادثات في سويسرا بشأن مقترح لإنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا بأنها "خطوة هامة إلى الأمام"، مجددا التأكيد أن أي اتفاق نهائي يجب أن "يحترم بالكامل" السيادة الأوكرانية.

وأفاد بيان مشترك أميركي اوكراني أصدرته واشنطن بعد المحادثات في جنيف، أنه "نتيجة للمناقشات، صاغ الطرفان إطارا محدثا ومحسنا لخطة السلام".
