وزير الطاقة الأميركي: لا أنشطة تخصيب يورانيوم بالاتفاق المدني مع السعودية

قال وزير الطاقة الأميركي كريس رايت، الأربعاء، إن تخصيب اليورانيوم ليس جزءا من الاتفاق بشأن الطاقة النووية المدنية الذي تم التوصل إليه مع السعودية.

وأضاف رايت: "يتعلق الأمر بالاستخدام المدني للطاقة النووية، ولا يتعلق بالتخصيب. ولا يتعلق بأي شيء له صلة بالأسلحة. يتعلق فحسب بتوليد الكهرباء، كهرباء آمنة وموثوقة وبأسعار معقولة".

وذكر أن الاتفاق يتعلق ببناء محطة طاقة نووية كبيرة في السعودية، وهي واحدة من عدة اتفاقات تم الإعلان عنها خلال زيارة ولي العهد السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان إلى واشنطن.
