صوّت مجلس النواب الأميركي بشبه إجماع الثلاثاء لصالح نشر وثائق التحقيق في قضية جيفري إبستين المدان بارتكاب جرائم جنسية، رغم ضغوط الرئيس دونالد ترامب على حزبه لمنع التصويت.

وفي ظل الانشقاقات داخل حزبه، تراجع الرئيس الأميركي عن موقفه الأحد معلنا دعمه لمشروع القانون الذي سيُحال إلى مجلس الشيوخ، مع أنه من غير المؤكد ما إذا كان زعيم الأغلبية الجمهورية سيُجري تصويتا عليه.
