صعد العراق إلى الملحق العالمي للتصفيات المؤهلة لنهائيات كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026 بفوزه على الإمارات 2-1 الثلاثاء في إياب الملحق الآسيوي للتصفيات والذي أقيم في استاد البصرة الدولي.

وتعادل العراق 1-1 مع الإمارات في 13 نوفمبر تشرين الثاني ذهابا.

تقدم كايو لوكاس للإمارات في الدقيقة 52 بعد انفراده بمرمى العراق عقب تمريرة رائعة من زميله يحيى نادر ليسدد في مرمى جلال حسن.

وتعادل العراق في الدقيقة 66 عبر مهند علي إثر ركلة حرة غير مباشرة لعبها اللاعب علي برأسه لتصطدم بلاعب الإمارات وتسكن الشباك.

لكن أمير العماري سجل هدف الفوز للعراق في الدقيقة 17 من الوقت بدل الضائع للشوط الثاني من ركلة جزاء بعد لمسة يد من يحيى نادر لاعب الإمارات والذي احتسبها الحكم بعد مراجعة حكم الفيديو المساعد.
