أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر الاثنين على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولة تهريب كمية من المواد المخدرة محملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع.

وذكر بيان القوات المسلحة أنه جرى التعامل معها وإسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية بعد رصدها من قبل قوات حرس الحدود بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
