باشرت بلدية إربد الكبرى، ليل اليوم الأحد بتنفيذ أعمال حيوية لمعالجة مشاكل تجمع مياه الأمطار المتكررة في شارع الملك فيصل الثاني.

وأعلنت البلدية أن الأعمال تتضمن تنفيذ خطي تصريف جديدين لمياه الأمطار بالقرب من موقع السوق المركزي للخضار في إربد، وهي المنطقة التي تشهد بشكل مستمر ارتفاعاً في منسوب المياه خلال المنخفضات الجوية.

ويأتي هذا التدخل بحسب البلدية ضمن خطط البلدية لمعالجة النقاط الساخنة التي تسبب إعاقة لحركة السير وتؤثر على المنشآت التجارية والمنازل، بهدف ضمان انسيابية مياه الأمطار وتخفيف الأعباء عن شبكات التصريف القائمة قبل ذروة الموسم المطري.

ومن المتوقع أن يسهم تنفيذ هذين الخطين بشكل كبير في حل مشكلة تجمع المياه في هذه المنطقة الحيوية والتجارية.
