يحتفل الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس، اليوم السبت، بعيد ميلاده التسعين.

ويشغل عباس منذ 15 يناير 2005 منصب رئيس السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية، كما يترأس منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، مستمرًا في دوره السياسي القيادي على الساحة الفلسطينية والإقليمية والدولية. ويعرف عباس بمشاركته الطويلة في مسار القضية الفلسطينية، حيث قاد السلطة الوطنية في مراحل حساسة من الصراع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي، ويواصل نشاطاته السياسية والدبلوماسية رغم تقدمه في العمر.
