وافقت الولايات المتحدة على بيع تايوان تجهيزات ومعدات قيمتها 330 مليون دولار، في أول صفقة عسكرية مع الجزيرة منذ عودة الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الى البيت الأبيض مطلع العام الجاري، بحسب ما أفادت وزارة الخارجية في تايبيه الجمعة.

وقالت الوزارة "هذه هي المرة الأولى تعلن فيها إدارة ترامب الجديدة بيع أسلحة لتايوان"، بعدما وافقت وزارة الخارجية الأميركية على الصفقة.
