أسفر انفجار سيارة وسط العاصمة الهندية الاثنين عن سقوط قتلى وجرحى، بحسب ما أعلن مفوض شرطة نيودلهي ساتيش غولشا، من دون أن يقدّم حصيلة محددة.

وقال غولشا للصحافيين إن "الانفجار وقع عند الساعة 6,52 مساء (13,22 ت غ)، حين توقفت سيارة بطيئة الحركة عند إشارة مرور حمراء، فانفجرت، ما أدى إلى تضرر سيارات مجاورة"، مضيفا أن "بعض الأشخاص لقوا حتفهم وأُصيب آخرون".

وشاهد مراسلو وكالة فرانس برس مصابين يُنقلون إلى المستشفى بعد الانفجار، فيما لم تُعلن الشرطة بعد سبب الحادث، لكنها أشارت إلى أن فرق الأدلة الجنائية ومكافحة الإرهاب تتولى التحقيق في المكان.
