ندد الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الأحد بوجود "صحافيين فاسدين" في هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية (بي بي سي) بعد استقالة مديرها العام على خلفية فضيحة تتعلق بمونتاج شريط وثائقي عن الزعيم الجمهوري.

وقال ترامب عبر منصته الاجتماعية تروث سوشال إنه تم كشف "صحافيين فاسدين"، مضيفا أن "هؤلاء أشخاص غير أمناء للغاية حاولوا التدخل في الانتخابات الرئاسية. وفوق كل ذلك، فهم من بلد أجنبي، يعتبره الكثيرون حليفنا الأول. وهذا أمر سيء للديموقراطية".

ويتعلق الأمر بشريط وثائقي بثته "بي بي سي" قبل أسبوع من الانتخابات الرئاسية الأميركية الأخيرة، وعرض مقاطع فيديو تم دمجها من خطاب ترامب في 6 كانون الثاني/يناير 2021، عندما اتُهم بتحريض أنصاره على مهاجمة مبنى الكابيتول سعيا لإبقائه في السلطة رغم خسارته أمام الديموقراطي جو بايدن.
