قال الأمين العام لوزارة التربية لشؤون التعليم المهني، محمد غيث، الأحد، إنه بحلول عام 2032 يجب توفير ما يقارب 100 ألف فرصة عمل من خلال التعليم المهني والتقني.

وأضاف غيث، أنه بحلول عام 2032 يجب رفع نسبة التحاق الطلبة في فرع التعليم المهني والتقني (BTEC) إلى 50%، وزيادة عدد تخصصاته وتنوّعها، بما يلبي احتياجات سوق العمل من المهارات والكفاءات المؤهلة.

وأشار إلى أن الوزارة اتخذت سلسلة من الإجراءات الهادفة إلى تطوير هذا القطاع الحيوي، وستواصل تنفيذها ضمن خطة واضحة ومدروسة، إذ تعمل حاليًا على تطوير المنظومة من خلال التوسع في عدد المدارس والتخصصات.

وأكد غيث أن الوزارة تولي التعليم المهني بمختلف تخصصاته أهمية قصوى، باعتباره مشروعًا وطنيا استراتيجيا.
