توفي في العاصمة الأردنية عمّان، اليوم الأحد، العالم والداعية المصري الدكتور زغلول النجار عن عمر ناهز 92 عامًا، بعد مسيرة علمية ودعوية حافلة امتدت لعقود.

ويعد النجار من أبرز العلماء الذين أسهموا في الربط بين العلوم الطبيعية والإعجاز العلمي في القرآن الكريم، حيث عرف بجهوده في توضيح أوجه الإعجاز العلمي بأسلوب أكاديمي رصين.

ترك الراحل بصمة بارزة في مجال الدراسات القرآنية، من خلال عشرات المؤلفات والمحاضرات التي قدّمها في العالمين العربي والإسلامي، كما شغل مناصب أكاديمية عدة داخل مصر وخارجها، وكان عضواً في عدد من الهيئات العلمية والدعوية.
