بحث وزير البيئة الدكتور أيمن سليمان، مع وزير النفط الكويتي طارق الرومي، سبل تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في مجالات الاقتصاد الأخضر والطاقة المتجددة وحماية البيئة، ضمن أعمال مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ (COP30) والمنعقد في البرازيل.

وتناول اللقاء آليات تفعيل الشراكات الثنائية وتبادل الخبرات في تنفيذ المشاريع البيئية والمناخية المستدامة، إضافة إلى تنسيق المواقف المشتركة لإبراز أولويات وقضايا المنطقة في المفاوضات الدولية المعنية بالمناخ.

وأكد الطرفان خلال اللقاء أهمية تعميق التعاون العربي في مواجهة التحديات البيئية وتسريع التحول نحو الاقتصاد الأخضر، بما يسهم في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وتعزيز الأمن البيئي في المنطقة.
