يتداول الألمنيوم قرب أعلى مستوياته في عام ببورصة شنغهاي للعقود الآجلة، إذ أبقت قوة الطلب وتباطؤ نمو الإنتاج الأسعار صامدة في الصين والعالم. وارتفعت العقود 0.4% قبل أن تستقر قرب 21675 يوان (نحو 3,043 دولارًا) للطن عند 12:31 ظهرًا بالتوقيت المحلي.

وعلى نطاق أوسع، سجّلت المعادن الأساسية ارتفاعات طفيفة في لندن بعد أسبوع باهت ضغطت فيه مخاوف الاقتصاد الأميركي، وعدم اليقين بشأن وتيرة خفض الفائدة في الاحتياطي الفيدرالي، وقوة الدولار. صعد النحاس 0.2% لكنه يتجه لخسارة أسبوعية تتجاوز 1%، فيما ارتفع الزنك 0.5% متجهًا لمكاسب أسبوعية محدودة.
