تعادل فريق الوحدات لكرة القدم وضيفه الاستقلال الإيراني ١-١ على ستاد الملك عبدالله الثاني في الجولة الخامسة من دوري أبطال آسيا.

وضمن حسابات المجموعة الأولى انتهت مواجهة الوصل الإماراتي والمحرق البحريني ٢-٢ لتصبح الأرصدة النقطية بصدارة الوصل ١٠، المحرق ٧، الاستقلال والوحدات ٤.

وشهدت المواجهة الوحداتية محاولات متكررة منذ البداية لزيارة الشباك ليحدث ذلك بعد تمريرة مهند سمرين ليتوغل وجدي نبهان ويسدد الكرة في مرمى الاستقلال.

وعاتى الفريق من التبديل المبكر بعد إصابة حارس مرماه عبدالله الفاخوري ودخول أحمد عرباش الذي ابعد كرة قوية من مهران ليستغل الأخير بعد ذلك عرضية ويدرك التعادل.

ومر الشوط الثاني بعديد الفرص دون تغييرات على النتيحة حتى صافرة النهاية.
