أكد وزير الداخلية الأميركي خلال زيارته إلى أبوظبي، أن منطقة الخليج تمثل اليوم أهمية قصوى للولايات المتحدة أكثر من أي وقت مضى.

وأوضح الوزير أن الولايات المتحدة ترفض بشكل قاطع أي سعي لإيران لامتلاك السلاح النووي، معرباً عن أمله في أن يؤدي الحوار إلى عالم أكثر أماناً، يقل فيه القلق بشأن انتشار الأسلحة النووية.

كما شدد على التزام الولايات المتحدة بالحفاظ على التفوق في سباق التسلح بالذكاء الاصطناعي، مع التأكيد على امتلاك القوة الكافية لتحقيق هذا الهدف.

وعلى الصعيد الاقتصادي، بيّن الوزير أن السياسة الأميركية تهدف إلى تمكين الحلفاء من الحصول على الطاقة من مصادر موثوقة بدلاً من الاعتماد على خصومهم، مع دعم جميع أشكال الطاقة الموثوقة والمعقولة التكلفة.
