جدّدت وحدة مكافحة الجرائم الإلكترونية تحذيراتها المتكررة بضرورة عدم الدخول إلى روابط مجهولة أو إرسال بيانات أو رموز من خلالها.

وأكّدت الوحدة في بيان لها: أنه ما زالت ترد شكاوى حول الوقوع ضحية للاحتيال أو سرقة الحسابات إثر التفاعل مع روابط مجهولة ترد عبر الهواتف تدّعي ربح الجوائز أو تقديم مساعدات أو ربح قسائم شراء وغيرها من الإيهامات بالربح.

وأهابت الوحدة مجدداً بضرورة عدم الدخول لأيّة روابط مجهولة أو التفاعل معها وإرسال بيانات من خلالها؛ تجنّباً للتعرّض للاحتيال أو سرقة الحسابات الشخصية أو المحافظ المالية.
