قال جيه دي فانس نائب الرئيس الأمريكي الخميس إن اختبار الترسانة النووية الأمريكية مهم لضمان الأمن القومي، وذلك بعد أن أمر الرئيس دونالد ترامب الجيش الأمريكي باستئناف اختبار الترسانة النووية الأمريكية بعد توقف دام 33 عاما.

وأضاف فانس للصحفيين أمام البيت الأبيض "التأكد من أن هذه الترسانة النووية التي لدينا تعمل بالفعل بشكل صحيح جزء مهم من الأمن القومي الأمريكي".

وتابع "للتوضيح، نعلم أنها تعمل بشكل صحيح، ولكن يجب أن نواصل العمل عليها مع مرور الوقت، والرئيس يريد فقط التأكد من أننا نفعل ذلك". (رويترز)
