وصفت الأمم المتحدة الأربعاء عدد الضحايا الذين سقطوا في الضربات الإسرائيلية الجديدة في غزة بأنه "مروع"، وحضت جميع الأطراف على التمسك بالسلام.

وتحدث مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان فولكر تورك في بيان عن "تقارير مروعة تفيد بمقتل أكثر من 100 فلسطيني خلال الليل في موجة من الغارات الجوية الإسرائيلية التي استهدفت بشكل رئيسي المباني السكنية وخيم النازحين والمدارس في جميع أنحاء قطاع غزة، في أعقاب مقتل جندي إسرائيلي".
