طالب مساعد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للشؤون الإنسانية توم فليتشر بتوفير ممر آمن للمدنيين المحاصرين في مدينة الفاشر السودانية بعدما أعلنت قوات الدعم السريع الأحد سيطرتها الكاملة على المدينة.

وقال فليتشر في بيان "مع تقدم المقاتلين داخل المدينة وقطع طرق الهروب، أصبح مئات الآلاف من المدنيين محاصرين ومرعوبين يتعرضون للقصف ويتضورون جوعا ولا يحصلون على الغذاء أو الرعاية الصحية أو الأمان".
