أعلن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب السبت أنه سيرفع الرسوم الجمركية على السلع الكندية بنسبة 10% إضافية، مع استمرار التداعيات الناجمة عن أزمة إعلان كندي مناهض للرسوم الجمركية استخدم اقتباسا للرئيس الأميركي الراحل رونالد ريغن.

وكتب ترامب منشورا على منصته "تروث سوشال" أثناء توجهه إلى آسيا "كان يجب سحب إعلانهم على الفور، لكنهم سمحوا بعرضه الليلة الماضية خلال بطولة +وورلد سيرز+ للبيسبول، رغم علمهم أنه زائف". وأضاف "بسبب تحريفهم الخطير للحقائق وتصرفهم العدائي، سأرفع الرسوم الجمركية على كندا بنسبة 10% إضافية فوق ما يدفعونه الآن".
