عثرت قوات الأمن على سجن تحت الأرض في ريف حمص غربي سوريا، كان يستخدمه نظام الرئيس السابق بشار الأسد لاحتجاز المدنيين خلال سنوات الحرب، حسبما أفادت وكالة الأنباء السورية (سانا).

وعُثر على السجن شمالي قرية بويضة السلمية في منطقة المخرم بريف حمص الشرقي، وفق الوكالة

وأوضح معاون مدير منطقة المخرم عمر الموسى، أن اكتشاف السجن جاء قبل نحو 10 أيام أثناء قيام دوريات الشرطة بعمليات تفتيش وبحث عن أماكن يشتبه باستخدامها لأغراض مشبوهة في المنطقة.

وأشار الموسى إلى أن "السجن مخبأ تحت الأرض ومزود بباب حديدي مغلق، وبداخله تجهيزات مثل فرش إسفنجية وأغطية صوفية وأدوات تستخدم في التعذيب مثل العصي والحبال".
