أقر مجلس الوزراء، الأحد، نظاماً معدِّلاً لنظام ترخيص السواقين لسنة 2025م.

ويعمل النظام على توحيد مدد رخص القيادة من الفئات الرابعة والخامسة والسادسة مع مدد رخص القيادة من الفئات الأولى والثانية والثالثة لتصبح جميعها 10 سنوات؛ وذلك للتسهيل على المواطنين.

ويهدف النظام إلى تعزيز السلامة المرورية من خلال شمول قيادة مركبات النقل العام ومركبات الشحن والحافلات المتوسطة الخصوصية ومركبات نقل الطلاب بإلزامية الحصول على تصريح قيادة سنوي تحقيقاً للسلامة المرورية في هذه الفئات.
