أعرب الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي الخميس عن أمله في أن يساهم التحرّك الراهن لتحقيق السلام في الشرق الأوسط في إنهاء الحرب الدائرة بين روسيا وبلاده، وذلك في تصريح أدلى به بعيد وصوله إلى واشنطن حيث سيلتقيه الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الجمعة.

وكتب زيلينسكي على منصة "إكس" "غدا (الجمعة)، هناك اجتماع مقرر مع الرئيس ترامب - ونأمل من الزخم الرامي لكبح الإرهاب والحرب والذي أتى بثماره في الشرق الأوسط في أن يساهم بإنهاء حرب روسيا ضدّ أوكرانيا".
