أكد المفوض الأممي السامي لحقوق الإنسان، فولكر تورك، اليوم الخميس، أن التعافي في غزة يجب أن يشمل المساءلة عن الانتهاكات الجسيمة وتجاوزات القانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان والانتهاكات الخطيرة للقانون الدولي الإنساني".

وقال تورك أثناء تقديم تقريره السنوي إلى اللجنة الثالثة التابعة للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، إنه يرحب بالإفراج عن جميع الرهائن والعديد من الفلسطينيين المعتقلين تعسفيًا كجزء من المرحلة الأولى من وقف إطلاق النار، مشددًا على ضرورة أن يؤدي هذا إلى "وقف دائم لإطلاق النار، مع تدفق المساعدات الإنسانية على نطاق واسع".

وتطرق المفوض الأممي في تقريره أيضًا إلى الوضع في السودان وبورما (مينامار) وأوكرانيا.
