نقلت إذاعة الجيش الإسرائيلي، عن كاتس أنه أطلق أوامره للجيش الإسرائيلي بإعداد خطة شاملة لهزيمة "حماس" في غزة إذا تجددت الحرب في القطاع.

أوضحت أن "كاتس أجرى مع رئيس الأركان وقيادة الجيش مناقشات بشأن استعدادات قواته في غزة لتجديد القتال في القطاع".

أشارت إلى أنه يتعين على "حماس" إعادة جميع جثامين الأسرى الذين بحوزتها ونزع سلاحها.

ستعمل إسرائيل بـ"التعاون مع القوة الدولية على تدمير جميع الأنفاق في غزة لضمان تجريد القطاع من السلاح وعدم تشكيل أي تهديد لدولة إسرائيل".
