"اليونيسف" تتوقع انخفاضا بنسبة 20% بالتمويل العالمي للبرامج الإنسانية

حذرت منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة "اليونيسف"، من أن الخفض العالمي في حجم مساعدات التنمية أثر بالفعل على ميزانية المنظمة الأممية هذا العام ما قد يتسبب في حدوث عواقب وخيمة بالنسبة للأطفال.

وبحسب الموقع الرسمي للمنظمة، قالت المديرة التنفيذية لليونيسف "كاثرين راسل" في تصريحات اليوم الأربعاء، إن الوكالة تتوقع انخفاضا بنسبة لا تقل عن 20 بالمئة، في التمويل العالمي للبرامج الإنسانية والبرامج طويلة الأجل للأطفال والأسر.

وكان وزير الخارجية الأميركي "ماركو روبيو" قد أعلن في تموز الماضي عن التوقف الرسمي للمساعدات الخارجية التي تقدم من خلال الوكالة الأميركية للتنمية الدولية، كما خفضت ألمانيا ميزانية مساعداتها الإنمائية لأسباب تتعلق بتوفير النفقات.
