فاز مرشح الأردن المهندس خالد المرافي بمنصب المستشار عن إقليم غرب آسيا في الاتحاد الدولي لصون الطبيعة (IUCN)، وهذا إنجاز يُضاف إلى سجل الأردن في حماية البيئة والطبيعة.

كما فاز المرشحون لمنصب المستشار الإقليمي – غرب آسيا من دولة فلسطين سيمون عوض، ومن دولة الكويت الدكتوره مطرة المطيري.

وتم إعلان النتائج على هامش انعقاد المؤتمر العالمي لحفظ الطبيعة الذي استضافته أبوظبي بمشاركة اكثر من 10 آلاف مشارك.
